The sole purpose of the Al-Anon Family Groups is to help family members and friends of an alcoholic recover from the effects of living with the problem drinking of a relative or friend. We do this by practicing the Twelve Steps, by welcoming and giving comfort to families of alcoholics, and by giving understanding and encouragement to the alcoholic.                   

Similarly, Alateen is our recovery program for young people. Alateen groups are sponsored by Al-Anon members.
